As the company’s growth dictates, you will work closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success for ideation of SEO content, strategies, and improvement. You are savvy at taking charge and leading a highly skilled marketing team, providing clear communications and strategy across various departments, and capable of sound judgment and decision-making that benefits the entire organisation. You will create and maintain a positive, productive work environment when guiding the marketing team.

As SEO Content Marketing Manager you are a subject matter expert in all things SEO, including but not limited to overseeing content marketing, traffic analytics, strategy planning, link building, organic social media, and website management at it pertains to SEO/Content. You will lead the strategy to increase brand awareness and lead generation through organic growth to further solidify Datamaran’s position as a leader in the industry. You are comfortable reporting results of various marketing initiatives at an executive level to the Executive Team.


  • Support Datamaran’s vision for digital marketing by leading the organisation’s content marketing plan
  • Develop and execute annual content marketing and SEO strategy by collaborating with the marketing team and product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment to overall marketing vision across the organisation
  • Lead and be accountable for overall ongoing content strategy, performance, and growth of marketing initiatives to establish and track ROI against business objectives
  • Oversee content creation and development, plan and manage the creation of compelling visual and written content that promotes our brand, drives visitors to our website, and fills our sales pipeline with qualified leads
  • Ensure that use of appropriate platform (website, social media, email) and mediums (blog, case study, webinar, one-pager, video, podcast) is implemented to maximise reach to target audiences
  • Promote content on various formats consistently, representing our brand accurately, by composing all content from a unified voice
  • Implement an extensive content strategy across various platforms and ensure digital marketing best practices are being followed
  • Maintain a detailed content calendar with important events, launch dates, and conferences to brainstorm ideas and execute to the calendar’s schedule/vision
  • Produce a consistent ongoing steady flow of content to be published weekly
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual goals and analyse results of campaigns to consistently drive upward organic growth
  • Support management of existing website and ensure that website continues to remain up-to-date and aligns with our brand and goals
  • Serve as the main point of contact for marketing assets from external companies, ensuring that content is consistent with our messaging
  • Review existing content to determine gaps and update as needed to maintain an up-to date content inventor
  • Monitor, collect, and analyse on-website and off-website metrics to implement opportunities for optimisation
  • Prepare accurate reports on important metrics such as website traffic, bounce rate, visitor demographics, referral channels, domain authority, backlinks, page performance and overall web performance, providing insights and recommendations for quantifiable improvement
  • Monthly research of keywords to gather ideas for content and ensure optimisation of proposed content
  • Consistently brainstorm and pitch innovative content ideas for new content, campaigns and growth strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital content marketing and SEO best practices
  • Fulfil ad-hoc requests as necessary


  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience overseeing content marketing and driving brand growth through collateral content development
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in search engine optimisation, demonstrating a solid understanding of the important role that SEO plays in content writing and proven success with organic growth
  • Previous project management experience is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced, high performance and collaborative environment
  • Able to lead and positively influence a highly motivated, growing marketing team
  • Comfortable reporting and presenting results of marketing initiatives to executives
  • Comfortable being held accountable implementing an OKR framework to define measurable goals and track key outcomes
  • Display an understanding of customer journey and pain points to implement strategies that will successfully drive brand growth
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Google Search Console.
  • Experience with measurement platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Experience with website management and optimisation through high-quality link-building and continuous keyword/optimisation strategies
  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, HootSuite and Salesforce CRM is preferable.
  • Knowledgeable about search engine algorithms and able to drive qualified organic traffic
  • Proven success leveraging data and analytics to grow organic presence in a highly
  • saturated industry
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a major asset
  • Prior experience with SaaS is an asset
  • SEM knowledge is an asset
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Previous experience working in an international capacity as part of a global company
  • Willingness to work on a hybrid basis, typically 2 or 3 days per week, from Datamaran’s fastest growing hub in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands
