For our Quality Control (QC) lab in Leeuwarden, we are looking for a motivated Team Lead for the QC department at the culture site Leeuwarden. As QC Team Lead in Leeuwarden you will be responsible for the chemical lab (4 people) and the microbiology lab (6 people). You are reporting to the QA Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily planning of the department Quality Control, in line with the plant manufacturing plan, and QA requirements and practices;
  • Define daily production capacity, monitor the execution, and take corrective actions, when necessary, in line with dsm-firmenich objectives and business requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with SHE, and Lifesaving rules;
  • Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop employees, ensure staffing, in line with HR guidelines, instruments and systems; Bring to life values and behaviours of dsm-firmenich;
  • Analyse and interpret deviations in the production and take action in line with procedures and guidelines;
  • Daily review of manufacturing processes, based on defined KPI’s and come up with, advise on and implement solutions for optimization and improvement;
  • (Work on environment for continuous improvement.) Generate overviews and execute queries using applicable tools and systems and analyze and report on (internally);
  • Communication: Departments within the Site (QA/ production/ maintenance/ supply chain) and with other sites, Global QC, R&D and external labs.

  • Reward:  Based on your experience, we will offer you a base salary of € 50,490 to € 72,128 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.
  • You Bring   

  • HBO / Bachelor degree;
  • 5+ year of experience in a laboratory environment;
  • The ability to keep a helicopter view and motivate the team;
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities;
  • Positive attitude, focusing on the development of the team;
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch communication is required.
