Step Into the Future of Hospitality Education

Are you an experienced hospitality professional ready to inspire the next generation of restaurant leaders? Restaurant Wannee is seeking a Practical Facilitator who combines operational excellence with a passion for coaching and education.

In this role, you’ll go beyond the restaurant: guiding, coaching, and inspiring students in a dynamic educational environment. As a Practical Facilitator, you play a key role in bridging industry and education, helping students develop not only their technical skills but also their confidence, professionalism, and love for the craft.

About Restaurant Wannee
At Restaurant Wannee, we offer a unique dining experience rooted in sustainability, transparency, and creativity. Our seasonal dishes are locally sourced and globally inspired—crafted and served by students in training to become the next generation of hospitality leaders. The restaurant features a Bar & Lounge, a casual fine-dining restaurant, and five versatile banqueting rooms, creating a dynamic learning environment where students gain real-world hospitality experience.

The Role
As a Restaurant Practical Facilitator, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day restaurant operations within a dynamic, commercially driven hospitality environment.
  • Coach and mentor hospitality students across all areas of restaurant operations, including exceptional food and beverage service and bar operations.
  • Act as a role model, industry mentor, and hospitality expert, fostering professionalism and excellence in service standards.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow facilitators and the Head of Food & Beverage to maintain outstanding operational and educational standards.
  • Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency to ensure a consistently high-quality dining experience.
  • Integrate practical assignments and real-world learning into daily operations.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative training strategies and continuous improvement of educational practices.
  • Evaluate operational and financial performance to maximize efficiency and support the restaurant’s commercial success.
  • Embrace digital tools and actively contribute to improving operational systems and workflows.
  • What You Bring

  • A strong background in hospitality, with prior management experience preferred.
  • Expertise in bar service, wine knowledge, and front-of-house operations.
  • Experience in coaching, training, or mentoring, ideally within an educational or learning-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum Cambridge B2 level), along with strong Microsoft Office skills and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or a demonstrated willingness to obtain one.
  • A didactic qualification/endorsement, or a commitment to pursuing one.
  • Why Join Us?
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hospitality operations with education. You will lead within a dynamic, commercially operating restaurant while mentoring and inspiring the next generation of hospitality professionals.

We are seeking a strong logistical communicator who can translate complex hospitality processes into clear, practical, and actionable steps. You understand that students need to learn not only how things are done, but also why—and you are skilled at providing that essential context in a way that is engaging and easy to apply in practice.

This is an opportunity to shape future industry talent while remaining closely connected to real-world restaurant operations. In this forward-thinking environment, you will collaborate closely with students, educators, and hospitality professionals to create a meaningful and lasting impact on both learning and service excellence.
